Zastava m70a rust problems

I own a zastava m70a and I was wondering if anyone one else who owns one has the issue of it gaining surface rust very fast when in the case put up in my safe even after it has been oiled well ... Does anyone else experience this and if so do you have any recommendations on how to fix this

I would keep it out of a case. In the safe should be fine.

If that doesn't work, try painting it.

I was taught to keep a shotgun case open or partially unzipped in the closet so the moisture from the field can escape.
