The SIG brace was an alternative for folks that didn't/couldn't go down the NFA route. The way I look at it is that the brace got SBR wait times down to under a month, so even if you want to go the stamp route, they are still a good thing.

They've been $399 -$449 for a while except for a short period of time. On ODT people seem to think that a $450 PAP plus $120 brace = $800

Maybe its cause I never owned one. But to me a Sig brace is kinda like a slide fire stock or a Hell Fire switch or a V6 Mustang\ Camaro. It kinda looks like the real thing but its not. Just lame like a semi auto Cobray M11. It just won't rock and roll.
