The trader was prompt and friendly. However, after the trade when I had the opportunity to test fire the Glock 17 I traded for, it was defective. The magazine and slide release had been modified. When I took it to the range the slide locked back on every round fired. I suspect the issue is with the modified slide release.
I will admit that the pistol appeared to have minimum rounds fired through it. Regardless, it is defective and I am now stuck with having to repair it.
When I questioned the trader about this he stated, as he did when I meant him in person, that he had this pistol in his nightstand has his self defense weapon. If that's so, he obvisously didn't test fire it. Maybe that's true and maybe that's bull****. Either way, the fact is he traded me a defective pistol.
