Mr. Corry initially seemed very interest in selling this rifle. We negotiated a deal and started working out the logistics. I did tell him that I would be running the serial number of the rifle to ensure it was not stolen. At that time, he did not seem to have an issue with me doing that. I am in Augusta and he is northeast of Atlanta…165 miles apart. I drove to Atlanta and was within 10 miles of where he lives/works. He never called me. I text and called him. When he finally answered, he said “something came up” with his work and we would not be able to meet. I asked him about the next day and he said he would call me when he got to his office….within about 15 minutes. He never called. Anticipating that he was actually busy with work, I took the next day off from work to drive back to Atlanta (2nd trip). Keep in mind that I only get 8 days of vacation per year. Mr. Corry refused to answer any calls or text throughout the day. I finally found what I thought was his work phone number and ultimately it was his father. I laid it out plainly in a text message and at 8:50 PM, he refused to sell the rifle as originally agreed upon. Mr. Corry was dishonest and deceiving in this attempted transaction.
