So I buy the cz from him yesterday. Wasn’t the best experience I’ve had on ODT. We agreed on zelle payment option (since i was pass my withdrawal limit), I sent him the money for the CZ which was $1550, signed bill of sale, he has my address, ID & my GA law enforcement post account, Photos of me at my previous law enforcement job with job title and place of business showing. I show him verification on my phone which was my banking app which was navy federal credit union. Showing that the request will be delivered Friday with my checking account number and all. He stated that he couldn’t give me the CZ because his wife would be upset if he came home without the money then. I offer him to let me leave and go to my moms business & grab the cash. So I get my mother to give me cash for it since she was close and owns a restaurant in Atlanta. I come back to him with 1550 all cash. I count out $200 & before i can count anymore he tells me hey can we go inside the store and use the counterfeit checker. We go in the Walgreens Walking around looking for some lady he “spoke with” when I left to go get the cash about checking the money. Comes back every bill is legit. Mind you i had to cancel my $ 1550 payment that was sent through zelle which i have to wait 2 days for now because of how many times i sent and resent it. point is deal with confidence man. Everyone is not out to scam you. Will not business with him in the future.

Everything here that Bubbabeenhad has said is true but there's some things that he's leaving out here;
He sent me a single photo of him wearing a Glock t-shirt claiming he was LEO. He wasn't. He was part of a junior pilot program. No badge number, nothing. That is hardly LEO.
The place he wanted to meet was completely unlit. In downtown Atl. At night.
Next, he waited until I was nearly there to tell me he wasn't paying in cash and that he was planning on doing Zelle.
Once he got there, he tried to Zelle me the money and it didn't go through. He tried again and it didn't go through. Finally he said "just give it to me and I'll Zelle you later" no way I'm parting with something over 1k without getting paid.
Last, when he talks about getting the bills checked--yeah, we walked into the CVS that we were parked in. It's not as if I asked to go to a bank. The only reason that I did this was because when he peeled off the first couple of bills he had wrapped large bills around a bunch of singles. All the cash was dirty and felt weird.
In hindsight, I should have just ended it when he said that he couldn't pay me that night. That's my fault but I can't think of many people on here that are just going to hand over something that expensive without getting paid. Plus, if he had access to cash, why not just get it to begin with, since that is what I had asked for? I'm in no way excusing my choices here but seeing as how this was over $1k I'm not going to throw the dice that someone, anyone is going to pay me.
