I work in the back side of the banking world on the equipment side of it, and over the last 15 years I have seen a change come over banks , from being financial institutions to calling them self "Stores" ..That in it's self tells you allot , that banks now see their mission to sell you services...
The banks have always (in the last 20yr or so ) been required to do a CTR cash transit report for any cash transaction over $20k , this is just another step in forcing people to a cashless society so people can't hide their assets
Add BofA to that list ,I was sending my son some money and His account is at BofA mine is not , and I had to let them scan my drivers license because it was cash , and he needed the money that day to pay to have his tool box moved from one job to another
At work we have used S&G and LeGuard .been through a series of problems with the S&G's (a lot of locks having to be drilled) we are using the LeGuard most of the time
I agree "SafeCracka" I am looking at the lock functions just drains the batteries , first place I would go is the keypad then the lock itself , it's one or the other we both agree on that
Most of the time it can be fixed by changing out the key pad only , and there is no problems doing so the codes are stored in the electronics inside the lock body pull the batteries out unplug the old keypad and plug in the new one
What brand of digital lock is on the safe , there is two major brand LeGuard and Sergeant &Greenlee (aka ) S&G there are some known problems mechanically , what comes to mind is a key pad button sticking which can happen with membrane key pads when the bubble partially collapses ,examine the...
