My parents purchased this around 1961 for the home I grew up in. At some point, my father added a wooden base to give better stability. Total height is almost two feet! The lights works; you could also replace the old corded system with a remote controlled LED inside the lantern. This has been in my family for over 60 years, but my wife and I are downsizing, so this little fellow needs a new home. Local meeting, cash only.
