Okay, so, I'm a nerd. I hide it well but there it is. I'm a big Star Wars fan (I named my kid Lucas after George Lucas), so when a buddy of mine told me that the shop he works for commissioned some Star Wars lowers, I had to get one. Or two.

One of them is a Boba Fett lower. For those that don't know, Boba Fett's rifle was a DXR-6. With the upcoming CMP trip I wanted to build an SPR/ DMR/ PRK (paper killing rifle). Initially I was going to do a Mk12 inspired clone but after much thought I decided that I would take my inspiration from the Mk12, but not build a true clone. Instead, I built what I wanted using the Mk12 as inspiration. This is what I ended up with, a DXR-556.

Nikon scope and rings (Nikon P-223 4-12x40 P223 scope rings) are a placeholder until I replenish the gun-fund and replace them with either NF or US Optics gear.

I gotta say that it came out nicer than I expected.

a Star Wars lower. What will they think of next?

They did Boba Fett, a Stromtrooper and Darth Vader. The Vader looked, off.
