    My Father's only rifle was a Westernfield 30-30. He left it to me back in 2003. I killed my first deer with that rifle and to this day it still means the most to me of all my guns. Great gun

    Thanks guys a lot of great responses here. I have to say I am kind of leaning toward the aimpoint now. Hope it is as rugged and reliable as everyone says it is. I will mostly just be doing a little can shooting and probably crack a few hogs with my AR.
