What posting method are you using quick reply, or advanced (assuming quick based on what you have stated but just want to confirm)? What device are you using, and browser on it? Is your internet seeming to be laggy currently?
We are doing a bunch of things currently working to sort out the problems. The redirect issue could have been caused by one of the things we were doing while stuff was updating, let me know if you have it again and at what time including the timezone.
Just to clarify the cleanup could take quite a bit longer than the next few hours. So if you experience issues in say the next 12 hours right now report them but only strange issues, aka something not working at all anymore, missing files ect.

Try clearing your cache (ctrl + f5) and let me know if you still have the issue. Also you should really upgrade firefox as we are on firefox 12 now, and firefox 3 is missing quite a few html5 related things, meaning you aren't able to see all the newer things people are using from html5.
