Not to mention the amount of time and money needed to do all that paper work. There are only ~255 million cars registered in the United States. Where is that budget going to come from? My pocket? I don't think so.

It'll be very interesting to see how this goes, but the craze doesn't seem to be going anywhere for the time being. I miss going to gun shows where I could actually walk around and actually snag some decent deals/ make connections there. I have a regular guy I usually buy ammo from every show...
It makes for good media, and it is a simple tactic to propose such a ridiculous legislature that it ends up on a compromise that leads to loss of liberties. I hope for the best and plan for the worst.

It wasn't anything special. p-mags still going for 40+ AR's still priced crazy. Found some decent ammo deals though. Way too many people went, could barely walk through the place
