  1. Bundy's Fight

    Props for the AA avatar.
  2. Bundy's Fight

It really doesn't have anything to do with whether or not he has a deed to the property. It's all BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. In other words, it's public land for anyone to recreate on, camp on, hike on, or otherwise use. A lot of people here in Salt Lake City go out to BLM land to...
  3. Finally got my unicorn - Colt AR15A4

The trigger feels pretty much the same as the trigger on my LE 6920. I'm not very good at estimating pull but I would estimate 6 or 7 pounds with just a little bit of creep before a decent break considering it's a stock trigger. The only time I seem to be able to tell a huge difference in...
  4. Finally got my unicorn - Colt AR15A4

I finally got my unicorn today and I couldn't be happier. I know there are 20 inch Colt Sporters floating around out there that were made in the late 80's but this is the rifle I had always hoped Colt would offer to the public. Supposedly they've been available since January 2013 but most...
  5. Anybody know where...

    I like K-Var. http://www.k-var.com/shop/Stock-Sets/
  6. Thoughts on Ukraine

I agree. This is probably how it will happen here. As long as the government pays people to stay poor, both sides stay happy.
  7. Thoughts on Ukraine

I just watched this video wanted to know what others thought. My first thought is that this is probably the type of thing one could expect if S ever HTF. My second thought was more of a prayer. I pray to God our country never deteriorates to this point. My third thought was that as a firearm...
  8. Where have all the SKS' gone?

I see SKS' pop up quite often in the $350 to $400 range on the local trading site I use now. I know that's high considering they used to go for Mosin Nagant prices but still; they do show up quite a bit. Maybe it's a regional thing?
  9. My move to Utah one year later...

That's awesome! By the way, on the way out to the races, we did see a bunch of cars on the side of the road buried up to the axle. I guess they all thought it was safe to just drive out on any part of it. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I chuckle to this day thinking about it.
  10. My move to Utah one year later...

Here's a picture of Millcreek Canyon which is about 15 minutes from our house. I like getting up there in the summer but the road will be closed until June for snow. You can get up there on cross country skis or snowshoes but it's a pretty long way. It's really hard to get out in the woods...
  11. My move to Utah one year later...

No truer words have been spoken my friend. The women here (by and large) are stunning! My wife has to force me to close my gaping jaw frequently. Lol. Snowbird is awesome. I had been out here to ski quite a few times before moving here and it is hands down my favorite.
  12. My move to Utah one year later...

There's a branch of my family that lives in Colquitt county so I understand the appeal of swamps, cypress trees and Spanish moss. There's beauty all across this land and I love it all. That's one thing I started missing right away. WATER! Like the kind you can go swimming in. Weekend trips...
  13. My move to Utah one year later...

My neighbor has been the best so far. I feel blessed to have met him. We hang out a bit but his wife has him on a short leash. They are both Mormon but he's a little less devout than her, so to speak. I think she thinks I'm a bad influence.
  14. My move to Utah one year later...

I feel you brother. That's the worst part of being here. I miss my friends, family and loved ones a lot. Home is home and always will be.
  15. My move to Utah one year later...

Funny you should mention the Bonneville Salt Flats! This gal my wife works with convinced us this past August that we should head out there for 'Speed Week'. I was skeptical but it absolutely ended up being one of the coolest things I've ever seen/done. We were totally unprepared. All we had...
