I bought one just like this back in the day for my Gen II/III S&W, you know, so I could mimic Sonny Crocket. I think it was around $29.95 or something like that.

Yes, then you'll have a TRUE 22LR and accuracy will be really good. Sucks to "almost" not be able to hit a paper plate at 100' with a conversion in a .223/556 barrel.
word of warning. accuracy in a .223 barrel with these is terrible. The twist rate is not really suitable for .22LR. they're fun, but don't expect to be a squirrel sniper.
