    Can you check that serial number again? That doesn't fit with 1925 numbers. Looks like it might be from the late 40's or early 50's.

    FS Browning 16 gauge

    That is a nice gun, but it is later than the 30's, possibly the 50's. Rear safety, mag cut off and bust of JMB makes it a later model.
