Yes I thought about the ammo being low brass as well. I compared to other spent shells I have from this gun as I reload them and by the eye they look the same. I don't have a set of calipers (Think thats the right spelling). Everything seems tight on the rail. The only concern I have with...
So this started all of a sudden?
I have another issue I have the xcs which has the trinite coating. Blueing is not the same but I guess beggars can't be choosers......
Ok ya'll I just started having this issue. I have had the gun for several years cycled fine every shot. I used it turkey season and all was fine. I go to shoot sporting clays today and it jams almost every shot. It takes a lot of force usually slamming the butt on the ground for it to cycle...
Was looking at DD since I want a 1:7 twist. I wanted a 20in barrel but that is hard to find. I found that YHM has them but not SS which is fine. YHM is cheaper then the DD I was looking at, DD is an 18" barrel.
Like the title says, what is everyone's opinion on YHM barrels? I see that they are limited lifetime warranty but most barrels I have been looking at are the same.
I am wanting 5.56 just becase I already have a nice 5.56 set up as an entry type weapon. I figure I won't have to worry about multiple cal. this way. Thanks for all the input so far.
Yes the posts I read were talking about length of the bullet is equivelant to the amount of spin. So if a bullet spins to fast out of a 1/7 twist rate it can fragment is what I remember reading. However they say a 1/7 twist will handle all bullets and that the 62 g is the only bullet with...
Well I have some 55g for SHTF but prob gonna start getting 62g or heavier. I was also reading that concern about fragmentation. They said 62g frag at about 200 meters. The heavier bullets are fine and the 55g are fine. A 1/9 won't handle a 77g bullet will it?
