    First real attempt at making a knife.

    What are your plans for heat treating the steel? You will need to know the type of steel in order to properly heat treat it. I would not invest too much time in an unknown steel. It would be a little frustrating to spend all that time on a blade to have it crack on you or not hold any edge...

    Can you catch them? Load em up in a box and take them to humane society as strays. That way you dont have to feel bad about shooting a dog and hopefully someone adopts them or the humane society can do the deed.

    Nutnfancy does tend to talk a lot, but when you want to know EVERYTHING about a firearm before you drop a couple hundred bucks on it and maybe dont have access to shoot one ahead of time, I appreciate him taking the time to go through every last detail.     9mm bc it is cheap and available and good in terms of capacity .45 because of its "man stopping" magic powers and I love my 1911 for carry purposes .308 bc it is a versatile, popular long range caliber 5.56 for tacticool reasons. Despite its sexyness, thinking about ditching this caliber...

    Wouldnt pay more than somewhere in the 300's for a Glock. Springfield EMP...$1000 used...seriously??

    Very hard for me to appreciate a polymer frame pistol after owning a P229. When you feel something that solid in your hand the other guns just feel like a kids toy.
