    You’ve been on a roll! Congratulations! I got my butt kicked by them Alabama birds last week. They gobbled a couple times from the roost and didn’t make a sound until dark when they roosted.

    Done the same myself. Some chokes will have the pattern so tight that it’s almost like a shotgun slug at 10 yards.

    When you get a bird in close range……and by close I mean 15 yards or less, aim for the top of the feathers at the bottom of the neck. The head and neck move suddenly at times and your shot pattern may be rather tight up close, causing you to miss. Aiming low on the neck will still kill them...

    Thanks y’all! That boy has paid his dues and has hung in there with me for a few seasons before getting his first one last year. I’m relieved that I was able to put a few birds in front of him this season!
