  2. Help, info needed! WWII trophy rifle, I believe to be a type 38, anyone familiar with these rifles?

Yep it's a type 38 Arisaka, Can you make out any markings on the left side of the receiver right in front of the bolt release lever? That's where they have the manufactures mark and serial number which will give you the when and where it was made...

  6. CMP 1911 lottery round 2!!!!

You're not likely to find another WWII vintage 1911 for their price. I got a GI replacement slide on a '42 Colt frame which was kind of a bummer but it happens. I'd say worth the money but with the caveat that like their Garand sales some people definitely get more lucky than others
  7. How is the milsurp market these days?

It's an Argentine Navy contract one chambered in 7.62x51 NATO

I'm thinking the pistol is an Iver Johnson top break with wood grips. All I can make out is that the Arisaka a type 99, (looks like the store misidentified it) and is from the Kokura Arsenal. This site has a lot of good information about what the markings mean...

  13. Value question about this m1 carbine

Yeah the more I look at it the more I'm thinking universal. The "cheese grater" handguard, the lightened op-rod, the "UFC" on the rear of the receiver. Those don't really command the same premium as USGI carbines. They usually go for around $500-600. Your one is in amazing condition so...
  14. Value question about this m1 carbine

hmm, that op rod looks more like a universal op-rod, I thought the new "inlands" used the standard op-rod

    Here's my 5 digit, made November 1940
  16. Item Gone: FS Fightlite sawed off shotgun AR-15 pistol kit

Pretty sure you can run any upper with it since it's a pistol lower. If it was the rifle lower you'd be limited to a 16" barrel and a 26" OAL
  17. How is the milsurp market these days?

Sometimes ugly pistols follow me home
  18. What does a 91/30 actually sell for?

Realistically they're going for ~$300, but I'm not buying at that price
