I cut out drinking for 3 months about 2½ years ago. I lost 20lbs without doing anything else at all. I replaced it with sweet tea in the beginning, but then realized that all the sugar was as bad as the beer, weight wise. Interestingly, I have a sweet tooth when I am not drinking but not at...
Several years ago, a roommate and I were sitting on the patio after dinner, he was across a big commercial patio table about ten or twelve feet away. I let out a silent but deadly and thought no more of it. Several minutes later, he made an awful face and started doing the "dog with mouthful...
This is a Marlin Model 60, I'm guessing?
I'd take 'er down as far as could and call it good. Coat it and fill in the pits as well as you can. Unless this gun has a huge amount of sentimental value, it's not worth spending the money to have the pitting removed and reblued.
I've got a Burger King less than a ½ mile from my house, it's consistently dirty and the help brings their kids and lets them sit around in the dining room while they work. The lettuce and tomato always tastes like it's a couple days past throwing out, and you pretty much burn a ten spot if...
To the OP, no, loads don't work in a linearly progressive manner, as in .10gr of X powder equals 50 more fps. You really need to get a chronograph to see where your particular gun is, velocity wise.
Until you get a chronograph, you can call the powder manufacturer or the bullet manufacturer...
I don't see anything magical or inherently dangerous about the loading process, any more than any number of day to day activities, such as using a kitchen knife, mowing the lawn, driving a car, etc. I've been known to have a beer or two while loading, just like any other activity, the key is...
I've done it, moved from Bradenton (not my hometown) to Athens, found it's harder to find a decent job here than I thought. Been here about three years as well, not saying I made a mistake, but be sure that you have a job where you are going.
The "geographic cure" doesn't always make the...
By the way, I didn't mean this as "I will run over bikers", I mean that the idiots will take of themselves, and end up spread out all over the highway. I've seen it plenty of time in FL...
I don't have a problem with bikers in general.
I don't even care about the lane splitting idiots, I'm not going to open a door or throw coffee, I'll just look at the big red splotch one day as I drive over it...
It's the same as bicyclists, you wanna share the road legally, I'll be more...

Not an AD, but shot a 8mm Mauser 98K in my grandfather's basement when I was about 14, I didn't know any better, he should have. My ears range for days and we got quite the butt chewing from my grandmother, who happened to be standing directly above cooking on the stove at the time. I'd never...
