Yeah we used to pick up the Flirs anywhere from 5K to 10K. We never got any more expensive than that because A: They did what we needed them to do and B: Theyd get broken every 6 months or so anyways.
I used to do water damage restoration. They were used to see water soaked drywall and carpet without being destructive. Thermal cams were 5K+ back then for ****ty ones. Im sure that industry is jumping on these and similar ones if there are more...
Nope I have not yet. I am still reading and researching so I don't buy the wrong one and want to swap it out in a month for something else.
Im not super concerned with being able to pick it up and roll out with it as much as I am worried about the power during a time in which the...

The majority of my intent would be to be able to quickly pick up some emergency stations if power went out etc...
Awesome! I have been doing a lot of reading but could not seem to find a clear answer on being able to listen in without the license. I may go ahead and do it soon, not sure I would ever say much of anything because giving out my call sign would then indirectly be giving out my name and address...
Been doing a little research lately on a few different types of radios, their intentions/pros/cons, and what people typically use them for. My intention is to find a good emergency radio that can sit in the house stationary with some decent antennas setup on the roof or similar and pick up...
Mine would have a glock, a few extra loaded mags, a knife, maybe a small first aid kit, 32 or 64 oz of clean water, some water treatment, and whatever food I could fit in it (freeze dried maybe).
