I didn’t say there would be. Just sharing facts among all this speculation. Although I’m not sure why anyone would have gone through this effort from DHS if it was not an option on the table.
The letters are on DHS letter head. They are not from the state.
They are issued from:
National Communications Coordination Branch
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency
i received letters on Dept of Homeland Security for travel during a quarantine. They are to be issued to my techs for cell tower restoration during a lock down. I received Wednesday and they are dated through the end of May. They were issued through one of the cell carriers.
I suppose it makes sense if you are in their shoes. If the POTUS has them readying for a national lock down and all the gun/ammo buying has been all over the news they know what they will be facing.
They are doing the same thing we are doing, we are just on opposite sides of they playing field.
Very good info there, and still applicable today when looking at prepping up for disaster. Unfortunately, the vast majority of guys who are prepping for survival or disaster focus almost entirely on the firearm aspect and leave the rest up to luck.
There will probably be a whole lot of...
Most people don't know that a ton of their "craft" whiskeys aren't craft at all and are actually made in a mass production facility in Indiana, MGP Distillery.

As fun as this forum is, and as fun as our hobby of gun collecting is, the reality is that your preps should be much more heavy on daily essentials (long storage food, water, TP, meds, lighting, etc.) than ammo and guns.
Keep your pistol and rifle/shotgun with several hundred rounds of ammo...
Like I said in the other thread - did they release the final test result? As of the press conference he had shown negative on the two preliminary tests but they were waiting on the definitive test which would take 7-9 hours to process. They didn't really say he was negative on the press...
In my opinion we all need to be prepared to be stuck at home for an extended period of time. Say there is an "outbreak" and cases start popping up in Atlanta. I bet most of us would stay at home, work from home, burn vacation time, whatever, to cut down on possible exposure from the general...
Another way of looking at it would be to take the amount of water you have in stock and figure out how many days that will keep you alive and then divide your ammo stash by that to know how many shots you need to take daily to stay on track.
For me we only have about 1000-1500 rounds of...
I think that after killing my first two-hundred or so locals I'll be bored with just shooting anyway. At that point it will be such a chore that I'll wake up in my post-apocalyptic world, have my coffee, and then look for something with a little more panache for my daily 9-5 slay-fest. I think...
Those that plan to shoot 1000 rounds of ammo in self defense - what are you going to do with all the bodies? Let's say that they are extra tough and you can't shoot really well so 5 rounds per dead body gives you 200 dead neighbors stacked around your "bug in location" aka suburban stick-built...
No I'm serious. I think everyone would be much better off to stick 500rds back for your rifle and pistol and actually shoot the rest of the ammo you buy. I don't mean just blasting for fun, but really pushing yourself and working on improving skill. Like I posted in that other thread, most folks...
If the situation lasts more than a couple of weeks 90% of you will be dead from dehydration or sickness before you can make it halfway through your first case of ammo.
If it came down to it I'd rather be holed up with whichever of you guys buys a box of ammo every paycheck and SHOOTS it and only shows up with 3 30rd mags, instead of the guy who was more concerned with stacking up pretty ammo boxes to have a stockpile of some arbitrary number and never gets any...
What, you mean you're not going to strap on your chest rig, drop leg holster, M4 on a single point, and walk around with your fingers and toes crossed that some dude with a scoped Rem 700 doesn't decide *he* wants to try out your kit? ;)
Thinking about it now, some loner with a scoped Walmart...
Yeah, I guess it's different for a guy who is single and is not with any family. If I were in that situation and everything came unglued overnight I *might* be tempted to get fully kitted out and go out in a blaze of fire. However, I have a family depending on me to keep them safe so I'm not...
Lord, no, I was just speaking in terms of what other people will be thinking. People are not inherently "good" and we've learned this through watching how quickly people turn into animals whenever law and order disintegrates - sports win/loss riots, Freaknik, natural disaster, etc.
My point...
Easy hoss, I was saying "I" in the hypothetical sense. Here's a rephrase if it makes it easier to swallow (remember, we ARE discussing killing fellow humans here, not zombies):
If you think you're being descrete by walking around with an open rifle, or even a "tactical" satchel, someone WILL...
Remember folks, all it takes is one well placed throw of a Molotov cocktail and you've lost thousands of dollars worth of ammo if you can't carry it all.
