Other than ECCO Machine, is there anyone else doing this conversion?
I’ve scoured the internet and can’t find anything but it seems to me everyone should be doing it at this point.
if you are aware of anyone else doing these conversions please post their info!
Yeah, when I Form 1'ed my MPX Dobbs did the cut/ thread. And with an MPX its not a simple process as the gas block has to be pressed off/on. Did a perfect job.
I feel like such a moron. I have two form 1s I was going to efile and waitied until the last minute... how I didnt see this efile crash/shutdown/wtfe a mile away I'll never know.
I have a Sig 556 factory SBR. I LOVE it. However, it SUCKS shooting it suppressed... Face full of gas all day long. The gas system doesn't have a suppressed setting which is BS. I've been meaning to find a gunsmith that would be willing to modify my gas plug and add a suppressed setting but...
I submitted a Form 1 on Feb 2nd and just got the approval email 15 minutes ago... Hopefully Form 4s are moving at the same speed, I want to go pick up my Omega 9k!
Totally forgot to post this up... Stamp came through a couple months back, 1976 Mini-14 SBR. One of the coolest things about it is, from the factory the receiver was engraved "made in the 200th year of American Liberty"
For practice I run whatever factory 147 I can find the cheapest, for protection I run the 147 Federal HST. Never had a problem... Sig 226 & Octane 9 HD.
No judgement here brother and I apologize if I rubbed you the wrong way.
I think open discussion of this stuff is amazingly beneficial. It brings common sense to light in the shadow of beaurcratic bull****.
Also, jealous of your SBR project.
I think you're vastly over thinking it and being cautious almost to a paranoid level. And I don't blame you or think you're wrong for it.
You already have constructive intent. That's what a Form 1 is, your declaration of your intention to construct an NFA weapon.
My understanding of the...
Interesting. I really like that one but passed on a chance to buy it a couple months back because I was worried about how it would effect the rifle I planned to put it on.
This has to be the most entertaining thread I've read in quite a while...
Here, let me add to it!
If you use a "solvent trap" adapter to put an oil filter on the end of your rifle you are now subject to both NFA AND EPA guidelines.
I swear.
And if you're scared of the ATF, just wait...
I've often thought about this. Can a trust hold a trust within it? seems like it could? Would that suffice? Of course your original trust would still hold the NFA items transfered to it but that trust would be held by a second trust? Interesting legal question...
