This really warrants two cans. Something for 30 cal is going to be wayyyy heavier than something for 9mm/45 and attachment options are typically different. Most people will buy a dedicated rifle caliber can and a dedicated pistol caliber can. I too went this way. It's just easier. I'm honestly...
Just go with a rugged surge... Im not sure anyone has a better option ;)
"If something happens to your Surge762—say you drop it from a mountaintop—we’ll fix it or replace it free of charge. Look all over this website and you’ll see no small legal type."
I just looked and its good for 556 in as small as a 7" barrel. Its internals are made of Stellite, same **** in rockets that go to space and burn insane fuel for extended periods and have to hold up to that heat.
I'm always around lol. Don't post on this particular forum much though. Not worth being banned every 3 seconds for expressing my opinion...
Yeah and the last two years I was at the IV8888 youtube range day shoot Rugged was there with a tripod mounted belt fed machine gun with my same Surge 762...
Why are people saying 16" is fine when clearly its no where near ideal for velocity and sound, especially when OP said its a "pistol".....
4.5" is about perfect. That's exactly What my 9mm sbr is.
As said in multiple other threads though, just buy a barrel that doesnt have a ragged out gas port. Buy one that is meant for being suppressed and never worry about some proprietary, movable, adjustable crap falling apart of getting stuck or breaking... I went the barrel route and couldnt be...
This is the one I have. Sionics really did a perfect job with it imo. Zero malfunctions with any ammo suppressed or not suppressed so far. Zero gas in my face too. Seems like they nailed the size of the gas port imo. http://sionicsweaponsystems.com/store2015/5/61-5-chrome-lined-stripped.html
Out of the box? Not much that I know of... Piston ARs are probably the most ideal since you can adjust the gas. There are far better options if you build one yourself though, which I just did with some help from @mtdawg169 and @Wallace's and a few others on another website. It has a reduced gas...
Because the same forms have been coming back from just a week before I filed. I could be an anomaly, but statistically I should be a few days out.
