Yep. About 70-90 lb doe is the best eating kind.
Man, I killed an early season doe about 15 years ago and didn't realize she had a fawn about 30 yards behind her that I couldn't see when I shot. That is some tough stuff, even for a vetran hunter. I learned a couple of valuable lessons that...
You mean you couldn't carry that thing over your shoulder?
On shot placement... next time pick one of those white spots on the deer's body that is a little closer to the heart. I know it's hard when there are little white spots all over the deer but just try to pick a good one.
I'm just...
Check out the handi rifle aac makes. Supposedly going away soon. They are tiny rifles that shoot great. With a can and subsonic they are incredibly quite. They come threaded, 16" barrel. Very accurate. And mine was $220 delivered.
If you want to suppress a bolt action I would go 308...
My friend has a mg. We shoot it occasionally at our property. Never seen or heard from LE about that or any other gun fire related issues.
If an officer approches a man who is shooting targets with a fully automatic rifle on private property with his service pistol drawn "low ready" by...
Snapped a picture with my phone of all of mine. If any range needs to see more than that I'm heading somewhere else.
I have six $200 papers now. The only time I've been ask was when I wasn't actually using a NFA toy. I opened up with a bump fire stock at an indoor range right after they...
What's your budget & purpose?
I have a S&W MP10 with the 18" barrel and it shoots well with a can but the thing feels like an 8' long musket with the suppressor on it.
AAC Pilot 2
$179
Before 1/1/15 if qualified for the $200 AAC online store credit program. I think it is over now but not sure.
Any opinions on the Pilot 2?
First, my dad and I have 2 rifles set up exactly the same.
Recovered 1 of 3 deer shot.
The one we found made it about 50 yards with a pretty good blood trail. No exit wound. Lots of damage internally. Good kill by the old man.
Number two was shot be me. Not bragging but I'm a good shot...
What kind of performance are you getting?
I'm shooting a 9" barrel with a suppresor. Using the Barnes 110 grain VOR-TX. I have not been super impressed this deer season. No exit wounds on the 3 we shot. All shots were less than 100 yards.
I've used Barnes in my 308 and results were...
I think it was all a bunch of PR to get past Sandy Hook. I don't think 41P will come up again. There are bigger problems to solve that everyone can agree on. It is too big of a fight for too little reward. It sure sold the hell out of some suppressors for a while though.
