I have spoken with AAC about various mounts - it is always steel. You can have a brake type or flash hider type - but always steel.

Superlative gas block works on any gas length. I vent mine forward to help control the gas. The newer cans are reduced pressure cans which generally reduce the gas in the face. The Wolfman may not be one of those.

Almost all AR10 platforms are over gassed. I would add an adjustable gas block. Especially if running suppressed. Makes a world of difference.
