    I was beginning to think I was never gonna get mine, 12+ weeks for FBI background check is crazy. My Senate inquiry sped things up a bit I believe.

    Suppressor AAC 762-SD Purchased- 12/12/2017 Check Cashed- 1/26/2018 ATF recieved- 1/29/2018 Approved- 12/13/2018 to Dealer- In Hand- 189 days and counting since the ATF recieved the package. When I call they're waiting for FBI background check to return.

    Well I’m at day 181 excluding weekends and holidays since my check was cashed. Still no suppressor. When I call I get the canned excuse that they’re waiting for the background check to clear. ‍♂️

    I imagine it doesn’t help anything to call them more often either. I’ve called twice and got the whole waiting on background check to clear story. It didn’t take this long for my security clearance in the military.

    Spoke with the NFA Branch today, current estimate on a decision is running 9 months. I’m a rookie at this, don’t know how much stock to put in this.

    This isn’t going to be an even relatively quick process. My check was cashed at the end of January and they’ve just started the process. I’ll be extremely lucky to get my decision before Christmas from what I’ve been seeing.
