Take it to an independent watchmaker so you have more control over what gets serviced. Rolex will change out dials at their discretion and you could be losing thousands... Also Rolex watches do not need servicing every 2 years, but like every 7 years or so.
If you buy right, modern Rolex can be just as safe. Buy models that are 4-5 years old and have depreciated and normalized within the market. The Datejust I have listed is a good example of that as it will not go below $7k again given that dial and it's MSRP of $10,350.00.
The majority of all sunglasses are all made by the same company, Luxottica who always owns Sunglass Hut and other retailers. Having said that I still solely wear Persols :P
Audemars makes the Royal Oak, and stay away from Hublot. Basically Biver copied Audemars and made the Big Bang from Hublot, but they use an ETA movement, not even an in house movement. You will always lose money on anything but Rolex or Patek, that's my 2 cents.
Right. Rich folks consider Rolex a nice buy, good for the money like a Seiko, I **** you not. They're all about Audemars, Patek, a Mille, Vacheron. Look at those watches and then realize one sells every minute or so.

Can't go wrong here, it's only going to go up in value.
If you don't want to take the Rolex plunge then I often recommend Hamilton, but be wise on your purchase. I wouldn't go north of $650, otherwise you're at $1k and that's only $5.5k away from a Milgauss GV. You will never lose a penny with a vintage Rolex, just like an air-cooled Porsche. If I...
The watch that got the most complements all time was a Maurice Lacroix Pontos brown dial I had, which I traded it for a Rolex later, ML hit a huge price decrease in the secondary market shortly after that so I made out well value wise, but if you can get into a Pontos under $700 I say go for it!
I
Vintage? **** yeah, vintage Rolex! Haha, seriously man, it's like I tell my mother in law who is obsessed with Briton jewelry which in my opinion is bull****. While they're $100 and more affordable, after you buy 30 pieces of crappy trinket jewelry you could have had a nice Rolex. Seikos 5's...
