I've had a lot of activity from Red Headed woodpeckers, seems to love the suet feeder I have out there. Just took a pic of one picking through the birdseed I have out. My phone sucks for taking pic's on full zoom, he decided to hang out on the far side of the feeder after I stepped outside for...
The results are positive on the birds in my area, personal feelings may vary, but I don't see how nature has a plan.... these birds act more like leaches on the system that works around them.
I took 2 female and 2 male cowbirds out of the mix so far this year.
If other's aren't aware, cowbirds are parasitic breeders & lay their eggs in other nests. Most often the nest parents can't discern which is their own young and end up feeding the cowbirds, in which they grow larger and...
My go to is a heavy stout, the Founder's I like is seasonal so the one I usually get is Samuel Smiths Organic Chocolate Stout. Warm weather beer would be New Belgium Trippel.

Casual drink is with the Famous Grouse Smokey Black & Shieldag Classic.
I don't have any pictures, but I keep a feeder in the front and back yard, along with one for hummingbirds when in season. Placed a suet feeder out there recently too.
Anyone else shoot cowbirds here? Been a few years since they came back to my feeder's.
Glad to see a few others that are into it. A little while back I had taken my gold pan out to try my luck down by the creek, but ended up walking away disappointed thinking a metal detector would cut out the wasted time searching areas that had nothing.
First thing I plan to do with it is...
Just ordered a Minelab Gold Monster 1000 and plan to get out this fall to scout for some gold.
Curious if there's anyone else here that likes to dig for treasure and what you found.
I would do a google search on some of those bottles, many aren't made anymore and there are people out there that will pay handsomely for them. There are a few that are still in production and won't bring much of a price but the harder to find bottles or certain years for the older bourbons can...
