Woodworkers: what can I use this wood for?

Woodworkers: what can I use this wood for?
I have a pile of maple "sticks". These are approx 1"x1" square and range from 6" long to 36" long. I am trying to figure out what they could be turned into. My first thought was pen blanks for the pen turners out there. Drumstick blanks? (Are there any drumstick makers out there?) Any other...
