Konus makes excellent budget spotting scopes, but they're between 2-300 for the smaller objective. For that though, you get something that's almost as good as the big players. I know I can see 22 holes at 300, maybe more but I've never checked. I can also see and read mirage clearly at distance.
I have the 1-6x acss scope, and the 4-14 ffp mil-mil. Been very happy with every thing so far, but I've only had the mil-mil out twice. I'll have it stretched out to at least 500 this weekend.
