Best place/time of year for sharks and best place/time of year for gators. I know the sharks come to Jekyll late in the year. But doesn't matter if it's GA or FL.
To be honest the antlers is my main goal these days. Life or death situation aside, if I wanted just meat I would drive over to publix. If a doe walks past me I'm gonna keep letting her walking. If a big buck walks by, I'm bagging a wall hanger. The meat is just a plus.

Just sit in a computer chair next to a window where you keep and eye on the bait. Then when you shoot one you can run outside and go "oops, i was walking along when a coyote tried to attack me and I just happened to be OCing this .243"
