    Watching scrapes and rubs I found Friday evening. He's been back freshening the scrapes and making more rubs. Hopefully he'll show up in the daylight. Most of the deer here are vampires, 😆 I need to let this Beowulf howl!!!😎 Good luck everyone!!!

    Finally got my first deer on John's Mountain WMA. ONLY took me 31yrs to finally get one there. His long side was 12-3/4" long. Dressed 110....would've been better but he appeared to have been hit by a vehicle earlier in the year and his right rear leg had been broken and grew back crooked.

    We're camping on the right heading from the check station towards Murray Lake. I've never hunted around Conasauga. I've heard it's a good area. Is it usually pretty crowded?

    Gearing up for the rifle hunt on Cohutta this week! Heading over tomorrow after work. Anybody else planning on going? Looks like we're gonna get a little bit soggy, 90% rain Saturday and Sunday.

    If you go to Cohutta, do not use the cart in the wilderness area. Nothing with wheels are allowed off of the open roads. I got a Deer Sleigher game sled. You can roll it up and shove it in your pack. Just hook it to your drag harness and go. Uphill is a chore with it because it wants to take you...

    That's a neat toy, but probably won't be big game legal. It'll be classified as a Rimfire for small game. I emailed the DNR about the Benjamin Airbow when it came out because I was thinking about ordering one. They told me small game only because they classify it as an air rifle.

    I had to wave the white flag. It's 15 degrees and the wind got to kicking....felt like my face was peeling off. This season was a bust for me. Oh well, maybe next year.

    I'm sitting here in a thicket, it's 15 degrees with a slight breeze. I really hope to get something this morning. I haven't squeezed the trigger on one yet this season. I've seen less than 10 deer all season. Jumped a few going in, got busted once, and had to let a doe walk because it was buck...

    NWGA WMA's like Crockford/Pigeon, Berry College, John's Mtn. .....

    They really need to close John's Mountain to deer hunting for about 5 years, that place is horrible.

    NWGA WMA's like Crockford/Pigeon, Berry College, John's Mtn. .....

    John's depends on where exactly you're at, even though there wasn't many people, they still seem to concentrate in small areas....at least they did on me on the first hunt. Berry is horrible....especially near the refuge/campus. The opposite side of the mountain isn't quite as bad, but still...
