Let's face it, is the SHTF, there will only be a limited number of calibers manufactured. I'd bet it will be 9mm, 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO. That's why I pretty much only have things chambered in those calibers. All great rounds as evidenced by the number of enemy combatants no longer combating...
My brother and I did the same at a Kamart in Cutler Ridge in 1978, he got a 336 in 30-30, and I got a 1894 in 44 mag for 94 bucks. Those were the days. Our father let us pick them out.
This is truly a very sad situation not only for the hunters involved and the family of the deceased, but the hunting community as a whole. There a many factions out there that would love to stop us from hunting anything.
This also reminds me of a situation in FL, in the Camp Blanding area...
