Can anyone ID the print I saw today?
5 toes showing, small print about the size of a coke can bottom (shovel in the picture is a small camp shovel). Only thing Ive ever seen with 5 toes is a bear track but this seems real small.
PS dont mind the deer prints nothing to see here :)
Now boys, lets keep it civil.
I think we can all agree that rights are important and we all want to keep them from being trampled on. I personally would love to know (with references to GA code) what the game wardens can and cant do in terms of entering private property.
if anyone has this...
I think you hit it on the head, a sidearm would have been nice in that situation! As far as shooting or not your day was done regardless, might as well have I say. Depending on the distance to the truck haha.
That was where I looking mainly, is there a specific area I need to go to hunt squirrel or can I go anywhere inside the entire Clybel WMA area? Any places you recommend?
After seeing the delicious squirrel recipes posted in here recently I want to get out and do a bit of squirrel hunting before the season ends next month, any tips on which WMAs are the best for squirrels? never hunted squirrels before, total newb so any advice is welcome.
Que? He shot an endangered animal, Im surprised he only got probation and a fine. If the cougar was coming after him for dinner it may be a different story, didn't see that in the article though.
Not sure about the whole break-in voodoo you hear about. It might have merit, it might not, and you will hear respectable people arguing for both sides. Personally, I dont have the patience to clean my rifle 20 times in order to fire 40 rounds of ammo. I like shooting way too much for that mess :)
My favorite loads for my .308 (shooting for accuracy) are the Hornady 150gr SST's. A lot of people are of mixed opinions on the SST/AMAX/VMAX projectiles but they are very nice for shooting. Not really a hunter myself but you might try them out.
I have been taking aim at a few that like my tomato plants when I have my morning coffee. Nothing like a pellet gun and a cup of joe to brighten up the day :)
Good suggestion, I was definitely planning on taking a safety course before-hand. I did read quite a bit about night hunts using lights and NODs but I would rather stay away from that and keep it simple, even if that means not seeing any hogs all day. Thanks for the tips!
Hey everyone, my buddy and I are wanting to take a hunting trip this fall/winter for hogs. It will be the first hunting trip for both of us (ever) and we are wanting to do something more along the lines of a walk and stalk deal rather than a sit and wait, even though it will probably lessen our...
