$30 bucks for 50 is about the going price for 38 spec. only other option would be to just put a primer in a 38 casing. Then somehow crimp it to be safe. The crimping of the casing will be the trick. -

This is the kit, My father had this one and I finally sat done long enough to figure it out and load some 44mag! I have a newer version for 357mag as well. I will stay the priming of cases was the toughest, i ended up cheating and used a hand primer. -
