I reload .32 S&W Long for mine and my daughters M30. 2.0gn of Bullseye or Trailboss make nice easy plinkers. Hodgon reloader data shows Trailboss, Universal, and Titegroup for 90gn pills.
I've replaced Varget with SW Precision and use Rifle Match for my 5.56, .308 and Garand safe 30-06. I also use SW4350 in my 6.5 creed with sub moa performance. So yeah I like it. LOL.
Got a Saeco #645 mold a couple of weeks ago for my 45-70 sharps rifle. It seems to like them so far. A little tweeking on the powder compression and I think I'll get it. 20-1 alloy @ 700 drops them at 489-90 and .459. I use a PID controller on my 20lb pot and it holds the melt within 10deg so I...
Still haven't seen where you are procuring said lead from, the purity or alloy mix you intend to purchase or the cost breakdown on your 40 individuals share. If I am purchasing lead I normally go through these folks https://www.rotometals.com/bullet-casting-alloys/
Yup .459 with my coww mix but only about 389gn not 405. Nice looking twins there. This is the mold I have https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1010203933?pid=363401
What powder are you using? Smokeless or BP? How long are you seating them? Have you made a chamber cast yet to see what size bullet you need? If its an original trap door odds are you'll need a larger diameter bullet but you need a chamber cast or pound cast to know what size you need.
I have a Hornady LnL it does OK but its starting to act up and when it dies I'll probably go with something different. I forgot I also have the Lee auto disk with the adjustable charge bar on my Lee Pro 1000 in 9mm & .45acp. It works great also.
If you have been happy with the powder drop and it does what you want I wouldn't change just for the sake of changing. Consistency is the key in reloading. That said if you want to change I have heard good things on the RCBS powder drop. I use my electronic powder measure when working up loads...
I'm just starting into shotshell reloading but from what I have gathered the crimp, be it roll or closed, makes a large difference in the pressure generated. I bet your buckshot load was crimped correctly. Try putting an overshot card over it like the buckshot with a roll crimp and I bet it will...
Depends. You should be able to find an on press priming attachment for your particular press by the manufacturer of your press. I personally use a Lee hand primer and prime off press, just less fuss to me for the way I reload.
I run Hornady 110Vmax over a stout charge of IMR 4227 for supers and Hornady 208 Vmax over a not so stout load of IMR 4227. My chrono shows the 110's @ 1900fps avg and for the 208's 1040fps. Both shoot sub MOA at 100yd but It takes about 20 clicks of up for the subsonics. The subs suppressed on...
It shoots ok out of my 10.5" pistol with IMR4227. Good enough to ring steel at 50&100. I powder coat mine. I milled out 1 cavity to make it a flat base but can't see any real difference. I shoot them subsonic at 950fps.

If you have a toaster oven you could do your own. Here is a link to the most information I have seen on PCing boolits. I PC my cast 9mm and 45swc with harbor freight red using the tumbler method. If you are ever down this way I'll coat a few for you...
I use this while watching TV along with the Lee universal decapping die..
