I used it a lot in 30-06 (150 jacketed) and 45-70 (405 cast), and have run out. It worked well. I have since been using other powders, but not because I didn't like the 5744.

I used a handgun in 7mmBR, a 154gr SST moving about 2000fps at muzzle, shot a doe at around 35 yds and bullet not recovered. The exit, you could stick your thumb in. The doe ran about 24 inches, straight down. So the 7mm 154gr SST worked below 2000fps. I would guess what you are loading will...
A good rule to go by is to trim all of your brass to the shortest length brass you have in that batch. Same length brass helps keep neck tension equal, which helps accuracy. Especially if you are crimping.
I have used reloading assistant. Mainly comparing data with books, and determining loads for unpublished needs, such as cast bullets. I do use it as a reference, but use the data with caution as I don't know if it is screened or proven before it is put on the app.
I have graphite and have used it. It works well. But don't think you won't have to clean after using it. Your fingers will be covered with it, and the necks (and more) of your brass will also be. Both sizing lube and graphite will work. Either way, I would run it through the tumbler again...

I use Hornady lube in the little tub. I stick the neck into the tub, very little, maybe 1/8 inch or so. Wipe off the outside of the neck, too much and you will dent your shoulders. Just leaving a tad of sizing lube on the inside of the neck.
