    No. Only if using an upstream injector, which is upstream of the pump. 99% of all chemical injectors are down stream and will not hurt the machine in anyway. You make clog your injector if you never rinse it.

    Just rig that with some rope, z drag style or block and tackle, and a cleat (ascender/ or a simple prusik) to hold it.. Shouldnt be too dificult if you have some good quality rope.
