I do agree. Just start out in a small unseen place first. If the wheel is clear coated it could peal. But if it turns the wheel a white cloudy color don't worry. You can polish that back off. Also look for some wheel acid at a detail shop. Good luck -

I have always used Never Dull or Mothers for my motorcycle chrome and truck wheels. They make different one for different types of metals. But the one i added below is kind of a all purpose one. You can get it at walmart or any local autoparts stores most of the time. Does a great job. -
