Help me with my friend car, he's a handicap Vietnam Vet's and the car has sat for 5 years, what to do first.
It's a Toyota and not an 83 Caprice. Fuel tank is almost certainly a plastic tank so rust won't be an issue. It may or may not have a fuel filter. Whats up with Moog ball joints?
I replaced the lower ball joints on my FJ Cruiser with Moog Problem Solvers and they've been good so far. I'll definitely watch them closely as I have heard a couple people complain about them on their Toyotas. -

It should still start even without registering the battery but I would still suggest getting it registered soon. I bet the problem is the connection on the IBS. Try disconnecting the IBS connector (3-pin connector with 2 wires) from the negative battery terminal. Follow the white/blue and gray... -
