I don't recognize most of these tunes. But my Pandora mix CONSTANTLY plays
The Trooper --Iron Maiden
Running Free-- Iron Maiden
Speedfreak-- Motorhead
Iron Horse/Born to Lose---Motorhead
Knockin' at Your Back Door---Deep Purple
Mr. Crowley--- Ozzy
I used to love these songs but now...I don't...
Remember the Ed Sullivan show with them singing Touch Me? At the time I thought it was kind of a cheesy pop tune. But when I hear it now it sounds like Jim was singing kinda like Elvis or even Sinatra on that tune. Gotta say he had a wide range.
Used to hate LA Woman. Then I realized it's a road trip tune. Seriously it's got the left lane of the interstate written all over it.
Although sometimes I do my Morrison Special Needs Kid impression while it's playing.
" LA Wommmmman.... You're my Wommmmman..."
Seriously that part just sounds...
The Doors was one of those groups you get really into as a teenager or college kid and listen to it constantly. Then you don't wanna hear it anymore.
BUT... Riders on the Storm IS always good whether you're driving or trying to sleep. Roadhouse Blues is kinda played too much but still good to...
This comes up on my Pandora stream all the time. I can't believe they still play it. The first line goes something like "Everywhere there's freaks and hairies dykes and ferries..."
I must be old and uncool cause I don't recognize most of what I see here. But as for ME... Lately at work on the super repetitive Pandora stream we're listening to old Maiden like The Trooper, Running Free and Two Minutes to Midnight. And there's always Motorhead mixed in. In fact the Motorhead...
Molly Hatchet did have the coolest covers of any Southern Rock band. Aside from that I would pick the covers from the Iron Maiden albums Aces High and maybe The Trooper. Also an honorable mention for the Motorhead album Iron Fist.
There's a Motorhead cover of Whiplash that really kicks ass. Sure the Metallica version was good. But Lemmy made it great.
Aside from that the Gubment Mule version of 30 Days in the Hole OR...their cover of Shine on You Crazy Diamond is damn near unbeatable.
And finally...ANY song Joe Cocker...
That's a decent tune and a lot better than any of there other later work.
But for my AB listening it has to be Dreams, Trouble No More or Whipping Post.
Hulu, Sling and Roku for old shows like Magnum PI and Miami Vice. Sling is just like having basic cable and only about $30.00 a month.
**** Netflix. They take forever to add new content and they went full woke tard a while back. But the good news is it's coming home to roost for them. They're...
It WAS damn good. The 20 plus years it spent on the Billboard too 100 proved that. Although I THINK the only reason Wish You Were Here wasn't equal to Dark Side is because it was too short. But just like Dark Side I dig every track on that album. Not many albums I can name that I don't want to...
