Yeah. We moved in September 2005 so your right. . Would have stayed but the 54 mile round trip to and from work got old. I miss it but even though it's only a 30 minute drive I don't get back there as often as I like.
I haven't been in Rome in several years. I was born and raised there. Sold out and moved in 2005. Tom was "Proud" of everything he had in his store but he stood behind every deal.
They used to be located on the Alabama Hwy across from Memorial Gardens ( I think that's the name of that cemetery.) The one with the three crosses up on top of the hill.

Yeah, changing the name and advertising would help a lot. Also a big ol Bubba sign out front saying under me ownership. Easy to lose customers but very hard to gain them back. Especially for new owners if they don't let folks know it's new owners.

I like when a business has their hours set up for the working man. Open up later in the morning and don't close until later in the evening. Gives the working man time to go by there when they get off. Too many businesses close at 5:00 ish and are closed on Saturday's so the working man can't go...
