Agree, my last tour of 6 months became 13 months because of a "lack" of deployable soldiers and this kid did what was in his heart (to quote @GeauxLSU )

I wouldn't go that far in saying "yet in today's military he would be considered perfectly normal and encouraged". I would agree he was continuously tongue in cheek with his antics, but that was his stichk, not representative of our Armed Forces. RIP.
