    You can order one from BestBuy and their nerds can come set it up for you. There is no cheap solution unless you know someone computer literate that can help you.

    If it is a Gateway it is really old and probably has outlived its useful lifespan. Gateway sold out to Acer in October 2007. Not worth trying to fix. You need a new one.

    How are they gaining access to roof? Do you have a tree near the house with overhanging limbs? May be time to trim some trees. Wrap trees with metal skirts they can't climb on. Hang big rat traps on trees.

    If you close it up trapping some in there, if they are hungry enough will eat your wiring and set your house on fire. Many a house burned down because squirrels eating wiring insulation. Or just smell up the place when they die. Need to trap them first.
