  1. Most you've ever spent or would spend on a knife?

I wouldn't say that I'm an actual "collector" but I am willing to spend good money for hard use knives ..... I have been know to blow 500-700 a pop on good Busse knives in the past.
  2. Blade Show 2014 - What did you get?

It's easy to drop a few G on a small handful of even semi-custom knives like the Busses before you get into the really high end stuff... I feel for you. I didn't see the Edge Out knife that you're talking about but I didn't have nearly enough time to devote today. I may have to go back...
  3. Blade Show 2014 - What did you get?

I lucked into a Busse SOB at the Busse booth and got a sheath for it from "Buy Brown Industries" right next door.
  4. ODT Members at Bladeshow 2014

I'll be there saturday late morning/early afternoon.
  5. Knife Porn 101

I've had no less than three dimes stuck in a combat troddon .....it happens. I promise. I'm not talking about fighting with a knife when I say a "combat" knife I'm just talking about something that you have to trust your life to even if it means being able to cut yourself out of webbing or rope...
  6. Knife Porn 101

No what I mean is whether you "keep it clean" or not if you put it in your pocket and you have a paperclip or a dime floating around in the same pocket it easily finds its way into the front between the blade and the opening and the nature of the safety mechanism of the knife prevents the blade...
  7. Knife Porn 101

I've been an avid collector of these mechanical beauties for years. I love them and for cutting rope, boxes, etc they're awesome ... I wouldn't trust it with my life because it can be disabled by a paperclip or a dime being in your pocket with it but they sure are handy.
  8. Most comfortable EDC

All of the smaller emersons have soft edges and aren't too bad. The microtech troodon is also just that right size for the sweet spot to just slip into your pocket and forget about it.
  9. Should I have bought a microtech?

Suggesting they have "some of the worst service in the knife industry" is total BS. 90% of the semi-custom knife shops like this have way worse service. They are a small like 5 man shop in PA dealing in heavily regulated stuff. You can't begin to compare them to something like benchmade or buck...
  10. Should I have bought a microtech?

I'm surprised that they took it back in RMA at all ... it says right on the form that they will only ship a knife across state lines to a leo. The ones that I carry I have replaced all of the screws with these hex head screws...
