Fewer True words have ever been spoken.. I love a metal gun with the right platform of which to carry. First duty sidearm was the SW 4006.. Now that's a boat anchor for a handgun.. And I LOVED it.. Big, heavy, and very controllable.. Carrying off duty was a labor of love.. Then the Glock 22...
The only dimension missed (unless I missed it) is the width of the SIG vs the g19. G19 1.09 vs the SIG p229/228/m11 is 1.5. I know that doesn't sound like much unless you are cramming it in your britches via an IWB holster. Then that half inch feels like three and the squirming begins.. I have...
reliable gun, I just hated to shoot it.. Got rid of mine as soon as I no longer carried a G22.. I love the size but has a lot of bang to go with it.. just my opinion
Uggg. The kahrs and I don't like each other.. trigger just to bizzare.
Love my green/ black loaded springer 1911 until I kept getting incredible hulk hands from the finish coming off as I shot. Sent it back and they refinished it only to have it come off again.
XDS .45.. it was just eh...
I have seen a 135lb person shake off a .45 hit to the right chest.. He didnt get up after the second one found the Cranial Vault! Point is, shot placement is important. But if you poke enough holes in something it will stop too.. Keep squeezing until the threat stops is my rule.
Love the Glock 22, carried the G27 as a bug. Didnt like the feel of the 27, but was just as accurate with it. When I left the force I sold the g27 because I didnt want to afford to feed it. I have had the G23, good gun no doubt, but again didnt want to feed it. I have the G19 now, it is my edc...
i have looked at ap carry, but i find that it is not comfortable while sitting. I mostly blame it on weapon size(G19). I usually carry 3;30-4:00ish iwb and can draw either hand as well as shoot well with either.
There are a lot of if's and but's that can go into why not to carry ap. I for one...
I did the 1911 thing for a period but got discouraged by the finish on the $800+ 1911 I just bought.. That was before I stopped being overly concerned about the finish on my EDC.. as stated earlier I dont collect handguns and theyneed to serve an immediate purpose for me. Not to mention the...
Nope no flamage... to shoot in the military matches I have to use a rack gun, one that can be issued from the arms room. That gives me two options, the Beretta m9 or the SIG m11. Beretta is two big for edc( IMO) which leaves the SIG.. thus the thread..but thanks for the option I haven't had the...
Thanks ghost.. my buddies are scheduling an intervention to make sure I am in my right frame of mind prior to changing my system... bless their hearts....lol
LOL I resemble that remark..
I am more apt to end up competition shooting the M9 rather than deploying with it. Unless something really crazy happens my deployment days are over..
I started my LEO career with the SW 4006 so I am familiar with the "Boat anchor" for sure. I think I...
Thanks for the input fellas.. I will look intoi the Beretta Compact, I havent heard of that. I will check on the CZ , but the issue of having a "Rack Gun" comes into play there as it may function quite a bit differently that the Beretta or the Sig M11( which would be awesome to have but ouchy on...
yes its a real question...lol
If I wasnt as comfortable as I am with the Glock I wouldnt ask.. Just trying to see if there is a GOOD reason not to change my system.
