The 270 needed a scope I was pretty sure it wasn't as bad as the 308 ill work on the 308 now, of course I just ran out back and was shooting standing with a bi pod so the grouping isn't great but it will do fine with a little work
I have bases rings and a new scope on the way, I hope that's all it is and I just overlooked something silly, if not it can just sit in the safe, no big deal. I can deal with shooting 1 rifle poorly since I seem to shoot the dozens of others fine. But I'm hoping something was just a little wonky...
Sorry guys, I had no notification of the post being replied to, any ways, the scope was removed from a rifle that shot, put on the 308 it didn't shoot, put back on the rifle it was on and shot 5 deer in N.c. this year at ranges from 50-200 yards on an AR, the scope is fine. I'm hoping first of...
My reloads, 150gr sierra game kings and 150gr partitions on blc-2 new brass, shoot great out of the m1a and factory I've shot 168 Hornadys, and federal soft points. And some 168 hpbt.
Right, I have no idea as far as action tq I've just looked at simple things, ill try another scope if that don't work out truprep would be my closest option. Tried 2 diffrent reloads and 2 diff. Factory rds none better than the other so it may be above my pay grade
A pretty far out idea I had was somehow it got moisture in the barrel under the copper. When I ran the rod down it, knocked some copper out uncovering some pits possibly? I may be thinking to much. The 270 was my wife's the 308 mine both shoot about the same, the 270 not as bad
Not sure if this is the right forum but I have a savage model 10 in 308 that is shooting all over the place, like a 10in group at 100 last time I shot it it was fine, I swabbed the barrel, wiped it down and put it up, now it won't shoot, I've tried factory loads, reloads, checked the stock, made...
