I think the best seat in the house is right in front of my TV. No crowds, no lines for the bathroom, air conditioning, and cheaper refreshments in the fridge.

I can't see paying $300 or more for a Chinese or Yugo SKS or $1000 for any Del-Ton, Doublestar, etc. AR-15, I don't care how many Mag-Pul doodads are on it.
I would recommend a 4" S&W model 10. Snubbies are more difficult to shoot well without lots of practice. You should be able to find one $300-400. The model 10 is rugged and worked for cops for decades.
Big Woods Goods had over 50 1000-ct. boxes of CCI small pistol primers in stock for $39.99/box today. A little pricey, but at least they had some.
