Has anyone ever stripped out the cheap interior and shelving of a safe and built back better? Like my safe but the gun rack inside is sagging and doesn't support my bull pups. Thinking about stripping out the interior and customizing to my liking.
Any feedback appreciated.
Just a thought while conversing with another member. Will all the most popular firearms be so overstocked in the brick & mortar's that passé stuff like Beretta's, Mini 14's, and military surplus make epic comebacks and become the new hot ticket?
If the market gets overrun by cheap Glocks and...
Being a "sig" guy, I am still waiting on a 45 from them that is practical for CC. Hoping they have something one day similar to the G36 or XDS-45. Still waiting.
You got me there
Excellent question. Just got this in a trade. If I like how it shoots, then a keeper. If not, will list on the ODT for sure. Still need cash to bail out my Tavor X95
Picked up a Spartan recently cause I'm a sucker for new Sigs and just loved the oiled bronze treatment to the slide and frame. Well, I wouldn't say I loved the grips. The gold helmet seemed over the top.
Hogue had a great deal on G10 grips. Which looks better? I'm colorblind, so what do I know!
I understand why that bothers some 1911 fans but owning several classic Sigs, it's no biggie for me. The holster issue, due to the shape of their slides, are a bigger issue. Pretty much limited to leather and pre-stretching them a bit before use.
I've owned Kimbers, Springfields, and...
Came really close to getting one but liked the Spartan just as much and saved a couple hundred bucks in the process. Got the 1911 bug again but it had to be Sig :)
The only thing I will most likely change is the grips. Some VZs would look sweet with that bronze Nitron finish.
Sig doesn't say on their site but I've read $1600 to $1800 on the net. Georgia Firing Line was selling one for $1300 and change IIRC.
Another pic from Sig's website.
