recently received a Remington 870 Wingmaster shotgun from a relative.
of course my first thought was to put an 18" barrel on it (~26" on there), aftermarket furniture (the wood looks to be in decent condition but not sure if it's original or not), maybe cerakote it, pic rail, etc. You know...
hard to tell if it's worth the price if there is no price listed.
But yes, DD makes good AR rifles. For a long time it was the "go to" when friends asked about buying AR for whatever reason if they were willing to go over $1k for a rifle. I've used DD lower parts kits in a few lowers as well.
LMT is probably the most versatile. Easy to swap calibers and barrel lengths.
Another to consider that might be a bit more “budget” friendly is the PWS MK216.
Barrett 50 cal
HK MP5k
LMT or KAC AR15
M4 shotgun
SBR for the appropriate rifles
Suppressors for all of them
Maybe a couple of transferrable full autos to round out the collection. Toss in a few Colt Single Action Army first gens along with matching Model 92/94's to keep the old schools happy...
just built a couple of lowers and so might be able to fill in some info:
for sure more than 3 companies making LPK's. Basically you have your bare bones stuff (aero, BCM, etc) and then various levels of upscale parts kits. Plus some parts kits that leave out fire control group (trigger) or...
I was in the same boat. Wanted to stay away frim V22/rimx prices. Mainly down to the CZ AT-one and the b14r for me.
Deciding factor was the r700 footprint and accessories (action, stock, triggers and optic base mount). Built it for my daughter to get into shooting, so figured she would learn...
would love to hear what you think of this (assuming you are shooting it?!)?
I have a soft spot for Hornets and Bees, always wanted a Taurus Raging Hornet (or Bee, or Carbine) but saw that Ruger was making the SRH Hornet. ended up buying a Marlin Dark (always wanted a 45-70 lever gun too), but...
pretty sure most of the brush folks in alaska carry lever guns for defense. haven't seen any walking about with AR platform rifles. ;) Maybe it's changed with some of the newer calibers (458 SOCOM possibly?) but I'd be hard pressed to want something other than a WWG CoPilot in 50 alaskan if I...
surprised no one mentioned it..
John Wick 4. The Tracker/Mr. Nobody. Marlin 1894 Tactial lever gun was his weapon of choice. MadPig customs made the rifle (with help from Wild West Guns and a few other companies).

BHP I think nailed it on...
might be able to find a used Ruger Precision Rimfire in that range as well. or Ruger American? between the two you mention (Savage and CZ), I'd buy CZ all day and twice on sunday. personally I bought a Bergara B14R to fill the need you are looking for but they are closer to $1k, might find one...
I would agree with your assessment. The biggest issue with the 6MAX is factory support. I'm sure there will be some limited factory ammo made but unless you are reloading, the 6 ARC is going to be around for a while. If you are trying to squeeze the most out of it, the 6MAX may be up your alley...
and then for those that are fans of the 6mm stuff, I know SOLGW is working hard on the new 6mm MAX cartridge that's supposed to be "better" than the 6 ARC and addresses some of the shortcomings. I know nothing just that they are excited about the MAX and saying it's better. I didn't bother to...
I can’t see leaving a 5.56 AR for a 6mm. 6ARC will never be as cheap as any 5.56 especially if you reload. I have 6.8spc as well as 300bo and a 308 AR. Gotta cover the bases. I don’t see the 6ARC doing anything I can’t do with 6.8spc besides punching paper just a bit further out.
The whole “if...
CZ has two new 457 22lr rifles. One with the MDT ACC chassis 24" CHF barrel and one with the MTR Manners composite frame and 16.2" barrel. Ok they have 3 one with a stainless action and synthetic stock.
Plus the CZ 600 Trail in 300 blackout. I think this might be a good option for a "pork...
